What is the difference between ceremonial grade vs culinary grade matcha?
Apart from the slight colour difference, ceremonial grade matcha is known as the highest quality out of the two due to its high levels of chlorophyll and L-theanine. Culinary-grade matcha is typically used in baking, whereas ceremonial-grade matcha is best for drinking.
Is there caffeine in Matcha Boost?
There is no added caffeine, however, matcha naturally contains a small amount of caffeine. In 1 cup of Matcha Boost, there is 48mg of caffeine compared to 100mg in 1 cup of coffee.
Will Matcha Boost give you a caffeine crash like coffee?
Matcha contains L-Theanine, an amino acid that helps the body absorb the caffeine a lot slower giving you a steady release of energy. Unlike coffee which causes a spike of energy followed by a crash, the antioxidants, flavanoids, and phytonutrients in matcha will give you a longer period of alertness and wakefulness.
